Thanks for signing up for our FREE 7-part course Small / Local / Agile: Reimagining Church in a Pandemic.
This pandemic doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon, and it’s forcing us to rethink our assumptions about how to equip the church to be on mission together as the Body of Christ. Live streaming and Zoom aren’t going to cut it long-term. We think this is an opportunity for the church to “get small” in order to stay connected to each other and God’s mission and grow for the long haul.
Note that this DOES NOT mean we are advocating for you to dismiss the danger of the pandemic and immediately start gathering in small groups! We need to consider how our actions could contribute to the spread of the virus and the prolonging of the pandemic.
Rather, we are advocating that we begin to use this time to begin discerning how the church gathers, and why… so we don’t end up just “going back to normal” after the pandemic subsides.
“Missional communities” were all the rage a few years ago, but many leaders gave up on them because they weren’t the silver bullet they had hoped for. The truth is cultivating a community on mission takes a lot of time, effort, patience, and trust.
We’ve been training leaders in organizing the church for effective discipleship and mission for over a decade now, and this course is a curated collection of some of our content to address this current need. We pray it equips you to empower the church to actually living out her calling to be the Body of Christ on mission with God in the world (even in a pandemic).]
