If it’s true that you can’t make disciples from the pulpit, why and how should we preach? How does preaching relate to discipleship? That’s the question Matt and Ben tackle in the video below.
The key lies in learning to proclaim good news, both in our Sunday preaching and in our everyday lives (something we talk a lot about in our coaching). To get good news proclamation back into the pulpit, we also have to get it back into the pews, which is a big part of what discipleship is all about.

How to preach for discipleship and mission
So how do we learn to do this? How do we learn to trust the gospel of the kingdom enough to simply proclaim it as an announcement of good news, and invite people to respond?
There’s a LOT to say about this, way more than we can put into a short video, so Matt and Ben hosted a free webinar to discuss some of what they’ve learned over the past 15 years about preaching for a culture of discipleship and mission.
