I managed to finish the episode about the harms of purity culture and WOW that was deep. I spoke out against being raised in purity culture as a new Christian, and have paid the price for that.
My question is where are men speaking out and against purity culture, and seeking to redefine what healthy masculinity and femininity is like? What resources for men are available?
I have a 2-year-old boy (who I love and am extremely proud of), with another son along the way. I plan on having these age-appropriate conversations soon, but want to get as well-equipped as possible so I can sever the impacts that purity culture and “biblical” masculinity have had on me.
