Professor and author Lee Camp helps us continue our series on Being a Christian in the USA with a generous and honest discussion around the themes of his new book Scandalous Witness: A Little Political Manfiesto For Christians. Lee talks about the ditches Christians fall into when trying to live out their faith in public: we either get co-opted by partisan politics of the Right and Left, or we try to “stay above it all” and “not talk about politics,” which is just as problematic.
Lee teaches at Lipscomb University, and is the creator and host of The Tokens Show, an old-time radio format show which provides space for the intersection of music, theology, comedy, and author interviews. Also check out The Tokens Podcast. Lee also wrote the best book on discipleship that nobody has heard of: Mere Discipleship: Radical Christianity in a Rebellious World.
You can connect with Lee on Twitter, Facebook, or on his website www.leeccamp.com.
P.S. There is some ukelele in this episode. We’re not sure how it happened.
