Pastor and author Andrew Arndt joins us to talk about the enthralling vision we receive from the ancient church fathers and mothers: a life fully immersed in the life of the Holy Trinity. Andrew shares how we can follow their wisdom today and learn to participate more fully in God’s life.
Andrew is a Lead Pastor of New Life East (one of seven congregations of New Life Church in Colorado Springs) who also helps host the Essential Church Podcast. Ben & Matt,
Another spin on Andrew’s “dirty pane of glass” analogy…
Rather than a static window in a house, I see the glass like a car windshield that accumulates dirt and grime over time as a result of dynamic movement through its environment – just like Brian’s life!
Nevertheless, plenty of God’s light shines through and the visibility is sufficient from me to navigate the world. If that’s the case, then an occasional cleaning is in order, but I can let myself off the hook to be paranoid about being perfectly spotless. I can leave the self-loathing behind.
Yes/no?
Brian
Amen to leaving self-loathing behind!
